Whitening
Custom whitening trays are made in our office. At the first appointment impressions are taken (this appointment can be done in conjunction with other appointments).
At your next appointment the trays will be delivered and the patient will be given the whitening gel along with instructions for at home use. We typically like to see the patient a week or two later to check the shade.
Veneers
Veneers are similar to a crown and the procedure is close to the same. A veneer is mostly used for cosmetic purposes.
It covers the tooth similar to the crown, but conservatively does not cover the entire backside of the tooth. It is made of porcelain and is fabricated in a dental laboratory. The appointment times do vary depending on the number of veneers performed.
