About Dr. Duston

Dr. Melissa Duston is originally from Spicer, Minnesota. She graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2007 and previously practiced in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Dr. Duston and her husband, Derick, moved to Florida in 2013 to be near his family.

Continuing education and community service are important to Dr. Duston. She recently completed the curriculum at the Dawson Academy in St. Petersburg, Florida, and has completed courses at the Spear Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona. She volunteered as a restorative dentist at the Mission of Mercy, and she has served as past president of the Monadnock Dental Society in New Hampshire. She is proficient in all aspects of general dentistry, and particularly enjoys oral surgery, restorative, and cosmetic procedures.

Dr. Duston resides in Punta Gorda with her husband, young children, and Ragdoll cats named Rupert and Lucy. The Dustons often travel to Minnesota to visit family. They like visiting the theme parks in Florida, boating, and spending time together.
