Panther Hollow Dental Lodge lost a great dentist and mentor when Dr. Malcolm Kerstein suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on August 29th. Dr. Kerstein was a very skilled dentist in the treatment of TMJ, muscle pain and headaches related to a poor bite. During the 15 years he was on our staff, Dr. Malcolm provided relief from TMJ problems for numerous patients in our practice. He freely gave his time teaching not only our staff but the entire dental community in Charlotte County. We all will miss this enthusiasm for dentistry that he displayed every day.

Malcolm had a lifelong love of sailing. Nothing made him happier than having the wind in his face on a sail boat. We wish him happiness, peace and smooth sailing in eternity.

Dr. Malcolm Kerstein owned a dental practice in Winter Park, Florida for 26 years prior to arriving at Panther Hollow Dental Lodge in 2001. He was the President of the Orange County Dental Society and a founding member of the Headache-Facial Pain Center at Winter Park Memorial Hospital. Dr. Kerstein has over 50 years experience in advanced restorative dentistry, TMJ and facial pain management. He attended the Pankey Institute for extensive post graduate dental pain management and advanced dental techniques including T-Scan III. He is also active with the Dawson Academy in St. Petersburg.  Dr. Kerstein has five children and two grandchildren. He is a member of American Dental Association, West Coast Dental Society, Charlotte County Dental Society, and Punta Gorda Isles Yacht Club. He enjoys sailing, power boating, and traveling.
