On Saturday, June 6th our custodial staff entered our office and discovered three inches of water covering the back half of our office!
The pressure tank on top of our water heater ruptured releasing a deluge of water into the office. Every evening we have an electric water shut-off valve that we activate but unfortunately, the shut-off valve malfunctioned. The water flooded nine of our thirteen treatment rooms as well as our staff lounge, main lab, electrical room, storage room, and two private offices.
Luckily, WrightWay Emergency Services responded to our call for help within an hour. Their excellent response saved our cabinetry in the treatment rooms preventing further damage. Thanks to WrightWay our dentists were back to work on Tuesday and our full staff returned to work on Friday!
On a positive note, we will be replacing the existing antibacterial carpet in the treatment rooms and hallways with vinyl plank flooring which will simplify the disinfection of our treatment rooms.
Please bare with us as we complete the repairs to our office.
